SMOKE SAMPLER USED IN ALL EQUIPMENT

I hereby inform you that the smoke samplers that we use in our equipment will no longer be supplied on the parts lists. This change is due to the fact that NOM-085-SEMARNAT-2011 does not require carrying out the test before any air infiltration, this indication was eliminated from the standard, therefore we will stop using the sampler, the combustion gas intake test by part of our technicians must be carried out on the couplings placed around the chimney thermometer, the installations area will place another coupling to perform the test. It should be remembered that the smoke shadow test is mandatory for all equipment, both diesel and gas. The values assigned to consider the carburetion tests will continue to be recorded as they have been doing, the values shown in the table are only for Clayton equipment and the equipment must be in accordance with the indicated values. The table attached to this bulletin HAS NO OFFICIAL VALIDITY , therefore it is necessary to coordinate with the verification unit to preserve the values that they indicate. All analyzes must be available for review by the environmental authority. The client must keep a log of the fixed sources referred to in this Official Mexican Standard for the operation and maintenance of equipment, whether in written or electronic format. The log must be available for review by the environmental authority and must contain at least the following information: Name, brand and nominal thermal capacity of the combustion equipment(s), and if it has emission control and pollutant measurement equipment, its name and brand. In the daily records you will note:

• Date. • Shift. • Consumption and type of fuel. • Percentage of the design capacity at which the equipment operated. • Average temperature of the chimney gases.

All data obtained from the carburetion of each of the equipment must be recorded in the visit order. In the visit order they must add the impression of the smoke shadow, indicating the degree of opacity.
